Real wedding · Summer
Henry and Amy married in June, with white flowers filling the oval room and live strings playing for most of the day. There was a spritz bar out on the terrace, beef Wellington for dinner, golden-hour photos at Fairy Bridge, and champagne in the white birch walk long after dark.

A June morning
Amy got ready at home with her four bridesmaids, while Henry and the groomsmen got ready at the Farmhouse. Guests arrived at midday to a prosecco ladder and cold Peroni at the main entrance, and Amy arrived shortly before one.

From Fairy Bridge to the oval room
The plan was to marry outside at Fairy Bridge, down by the stream. On the day, the ceremony moved into the oval room instead, and it looked just as good. Whalley Flower Girl filled the oval window with tall white flowers set on our barrels, and added smaller arrangements to the end of each row of cross-back chairs, among log stumps and hurricane candles.
String Infusion played as the four bridesmaids walked in, followed by Amy.

Spritz on the terrace
Confetti came on the path back towards the barn, then everyone spilled out onto the bar terrace. There was house champagne, Peroni and Beavertown, and a spritz bar under the tent pouring Aperol, Hugo and limoncello spritzes until nine that evening. Farmyard Ales’ Chaff was on tap at the Watering Hole, and String Infusion set up outside to keep playing through the drinks.

Speeches, then beef Wellington
Four speeches came before the meal, followed by a champagne toast. Cheek & Tongue served canapés, then scallops, beef Wellington and a limoncello sorbet, with an English Bacchus white on the tables.
Long, straight rustic trestle tables ran the length of the room, with a top table across the front. Greenery, candles and white flowers ran along the middle of each table. Everyone had a gold-rimmed charger plate, gold cutlery and a menu with their name on, and a small jar of homemade chilli sauce to take home.

Golden hour at Fairy Bridge
Henry and Amy still made it down to Fairy Bridge. In the evening light, Sugarbird took them down to the stream, through the trees in the low sun, and out into the meadow, with yellow flowers at their feet and Pendle Hill on the horizon.

Al Green, sax and champagne in the white birch walk
While the room turned around, the tables were moved into an arrow shape around the dance floor. Henry and Amy cut their cake from Ebella Cakes, set on one of our barrels, and had their first dance to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together”.
String Infusion came back with Nic Sax for three sets, with DJ Laura playing in between. The Reflection photo booth was there all day, the fire pits were lit, and Fratelli’s served pizza at nine. Later on, the champagne came out under the white-bark birches and festoon lights. The music played until half past twelve.
